I3HSA Student Week Activities

In February of 2014, students organized a week of activities to introduce students in the college and across campus to the field of industrial hygiene.  This week included fundraising efforts, with support from Iowa City businesses, to raise money for Heifer International.  Money raised from bake sale, raffle tickets, and donations raised $480, enough to purchase the "Knitters Basket" through Heifer (llama, alpaca, sheep and Angora rabbit).  http://www.heifer.org/gift-catalog/animals-nutrition/knitters-gift-basket-donation.html

2014 Jeopardy

The gauntlet was thrown and the Faculty carried the "More Cow Bell" team to victory in the 2014 OEH Jeopardy challenge.

2014 Jeopardy

Deirdre Green played "Alex" and Elanie Girlando was the score keeper.  The most often exam questions missed on Occ Health (the previous semester) were asked in the "had you paid attention" category.  We have learned that the "older faculty" could not all volunteer to be on the same team, as they knew way too much about the University of Iowa to make it a fare competition.
